JOB TITLE: Customer Development Executive

FUNCTION: Marketing

Report to: Trade Planning Manager

CITY & COUNTRY: Lahore, Pakistan

ROLE SUMMARY

What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?  

This role is responsible to support development & deployment of the company Customer Management Strategies and support the team in building Route to Market (RTM) capabilities to achieve the organization growth.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Maintain a strong grasp of business priorities, trade agenda, and the operating model to support strategic decision-making.
  • Assist the Customer Development Manager in building investment capabilities and competencies for Account Managers.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Finance and Customer Management Groups to refine and improve the customer investment framework.
  • Support key business engagement initiatives, including Top-to-Top meetings, trade show coordination, and operational/staff engagement strategies.
  • Oversee the development and annual mapping of Route-to-Market (RTM) standards to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Create and maintain Business Continuity Plans for all major distributors to safeguard operations.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain team to achieve optimal Route-to-Market efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure that customer negotiations focus on implementing value growth strategies, including a multi-category approach where applicable.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

ESSENTIAL

Experience Required

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in trade marketing or sales operations within the FMCG industry, with knowledge of trade marketing, distribution operations, and marketing finance being advantageous.
  • Field marketing or sales experience is a plus, with a demonstrated ability to influence across multiple levels, functions, and geographies.
  • Proven track record of strong collaboration and cross-functional work experience, including working with senior stakeholders, supported by excellent interpersonal skills and a results-driven approach.
  • Skilled in data-driven analysis, multitasking, and delivering actionable insights to support business decisions.
  • Proficient in English, with strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required

  • Experience in handling Trade marketing data & analytics.
  • Experience in data analysis, interpretation, and summary presentations.
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to interpret, enhance and optimise reporting conducted via multiple Excel spreadsheets.

Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required

  • A bachelor’s degree in a business or Marketing field
