BRITISH AMERICAN TOBACCO NORTH MACEDONIA IS LOOKING FOR A REGULATORY AND ENGAGEMENT MANAGER
ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
British American Tobacco North Macedonia is looking for a passionate, highly motivated Regulatory and Engagement Manager with a positive and can-do attitude, to join our team based in Skopje.
Your role will be to support organization in the development and implementation of local Corporate, Regulatory and External Engagement plans in line with Adria CORA guidelines and business priorities. Successful execution of CORA strategy on the end market level in both Regulatory, tobacco harm reduction and Corporate Social Responsibility areas. Also accountable for stakeholder relations at the end markets levels.
Reports to: ADRIA Head of Corporate and Regulatory Affairs
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Ensure representation of Company's interests in all regulatory issues in all relevant organizations and business forums in ALMAKO end-markets;
- Maintain ongoing effectiveness of regulatory engagement effort and strict adherence to governance rules;
- Ensure Company's leading role in management of drive and coordination issues, as well as active contribution to other regulatory debates;
- Implement external relations and external communication programs to build corporate reputation;
- Leverage external communication to anticipate or respond to potential or occurred crises, so as to protect/ enhance corporate reputation:
- Ensure high standards of corporate governance across ALMAKO markets:
- Prepares and submits applications and reports to applicable regulatory agencies, governmental bodies
- Responds to requests for information from regulatory bodies
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- University degree in law, political science or economics;
- Minimum 5 years of experience out of which 3 years experience in local Government, international institutions or multinational companies on the applicable roles
- Good knowledge and understanding of the environment, political, administrative and business systems in all ALMAKO countries;
- Good access to key stakeholders (Government, Ministries, Parliament, media, political parties, EU institutions, business associations etc.)
- Strong analytical, planning and project management skills; Strong communication skills;
- Ability to react on unexpected events;
- Ability to communicate well with the media, potential to gradually introduce Company's strategy on the market.
- Business English proficiency
- Excellent computer literacy (MS Office- Excel, Windows, financial software programs)
